Jude Demorest News
Jude Demorest, a Detroit native, began acting at the age of 4. She recently received the chance to achieve fame after being selected as the star of the upcoming FOX TV series “Star.”Demorest attended Winans Academy of Performing Arts. She was also known as Claire Demorest when she was a child growing up in Detroit.
She simply “always had so much personality and she just wanted the stage,” according to Winans Academy of the Performing Arts pastor Marvin Winans of Perfecting Church.
Pastor Winans remembers her fondly. Demorest started taking her to his academy and Perfecting Church when she was ten years old. Before relocating to California, she stayed there for almost five years. Pastor Winans didn’t discover “Star” until recently when their previous youth pastor texted him about it.
He texted to say, “Check out this caravan.” Winans claims that Jude, not our little Claire, is who she is at this point. I pushed it and said the word “Wow.”
In one episode, she said of the protagonist, “Ever since Star was little, she believed her name was who she was.” As soon as Winans heard that, he grinned and remarked, “Now that’s true.”
Demorest plays a young woman in Lee Daniels’ most recent film who overcomes numerous obstacles to becoming famous after leaving foster care.
Winans asserts that despite always standing out from the throng, her time in the choir here was beneficial to her. “I mean, you could stop her in the middle of the floor and say, ‘Claire sing,’ and she would break into song,” he asserts. She treasured it.
She attended a predominantly black school where she was accepted simply because she fit in. The competitors were Team Claire members, and we frequently hosted talent competitions.
America joining Team Claire is what FOX is now hoping for. (However, she now goes by Jude.) “I said her mama told her she was going to be a star,” asserts Winans. The first episode of “Star” will air on FOX this Wednesday, December 14, at 9 p.m.
