Victoria Valentine News
Victoria Valentine is “taking a break” from BBC Breakfast as she provides a career update.
Presenter Victoria Valentine, formerly Victoria Fritz, of BBC News and BBC Breakfast has said she will stop doing so after this month.
The BBC’s Victoria Valentine has announced that she will be taking a break from broadcasting to focus on a new project.
The newsreader, who has featured on both BBC News and BBC Breakfast, will finish out her final tasks this month before hanging up her BBC badge and starting a whole new profession.
It has been over a year since she officially announced her divorce and changed her name from Victoria Fritz. She is now searching for another shift in her life and will be returning to school.
Victoria said on her Instagram Stories that it was “about time” she provided her followers a life update.
“I wanted to let you in on something I’ve been working on and thinking about for a while,” she stated. In order to try something new, I’m taking a short vacation from broadcasting and the BBC.
“So, at the ripe old age of 39, I’m returning to school. I am a full-time student in a master’s program in psychological sciences that I have sort of passed off to my parents as a little bit of neuroscience with a focus on thinking and feeling.
You can certainly understand why it would appeal to and be something I’m interested in, Victoria said, adding to her followers as she described her plan to study how the mind functions.
“I’ll be hoping to advance and get a doctorate should everything go according to plan and I’m not bad at it. You might be staring at Dr. Valentine in four years.
The “loss” of losing her audience and the BBC, which she stated was “really sad” for her, was brought up.
Victoria stated that in order to be close to a university, her new work means she’ll likely have to leave the countryside and her favorite garden, which she frequently posts on Instagram.
The popular television personality also announced her last days on the networks, saying: “I’ve got a month left of the occasional shift at BBC News and I’ve got some shifts at BBC Breakfast too.
Please join me for that this weekend on Saturday and Sunday on the red sofa.
She ended the video by requesting good luck from her fans as she gets ready to say farewell in the coming weeks.
On BBC One, BBC Breakfast resumes daily at 6 a.m.
